SEX: POSITIONS AND SEX AIDS
As well as the range of possible sexual variations, manual, genital, oral, anal, etc., there are an enormous number of possible positions in which to have sexual contact. The classic, textbook sexual act is, of course the ‘Missionary position’. This is having genital intercourse with the man on top of the woman.
If this was the only possible position, I think sex would never have caught on. People tend to move around, and do things which feel good, and often will find themselves doing all sorts of athletic feats that they may be unable to contemplate in any other facet of their lives.
There is a famous, very old Indian book called the Kama Sutra, written in about 200 BC. It shows a variety of positions for intercourse. It is helpful in showing what is possible, but there are many, more modern, books now which do the same.
Varying positions for intercourse can often make for more enjoyable sex. It can make sex more exciting, and provide an opportunity to discover more about what feels good, and where.
Sex aids. Using extra bits and pieces, like vibrators and ‘sex toys’ is commonly practiced in different variations of sex. The reason vibrators have caught on is because they vibrate. They therefore can produce quite intense stimulation to an area, like a clitoris, vagina or penis, etc. As long as they are SAFE, in not only the physical but also the infectious sense of the word, there is usually no problem with them. When I say infectious, I mean that if they are capable of transmitting body fluids, such as vaginal fluid or semen, from one person to another, then care should be taken if you intend to practice safe sex.
